AN ACT CONCERNING DRINKING WATER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Commissioner of Public Health shall study restrictions pertaining to the sale, lease, assignment or change in use of class I and class II lands, as described in section 25-37c of the general statutes. Not later than January 1, 2009, the commissioner shall report on the results of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public health, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes. Such report shall include any suggested changes to such restrictions that the commissioner believes will promote improved access to potable drinking water or enhanced recreational water use in the state.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:
To require the Commissioner of Public Health to study current restrictions pertaining to the sale, lease, assignment or change in use of class I and class II lands.
